Description
With Bob Regan’s Pittsburgh Steps: The Story of the City’s Public Stairways as a guide, Laura Zurowski sets out to visit, document, and write about the 739 unique public steps found within the city. Volume 4, Issue 2 includes 10 randomly selected risograph printed “trading cards” from public stairways #445 – #516. Wondering what flights were included in this issue? Visit the Mis.Steps blog to see the photographs, risograph prints, and iPhone photos as well as read the stories inspired by each flight.
This issue also includes a copy of the poster, The History of the People is Written on the Landscape. Created in collaboration with Leslie Clague and Jimmy Riordan this 10″ x 13″ risograph printed poster is printed on lightweight paper and folded to fit inside the book. A heavyweight version of the poster, which is flat and ships in a poster tube, is available as a separate purchase.
Please note that your copy will be similar to the image shown above. However, it’s important to know that each print may have some slight variations in color and color alignment. These are not mistakes or defects but rather how the Risograph printer interprets the images. Keep in mind, the machines used to print these cards were manufactured in the mid-1980s and the look is very different from what we’re accustomed to today.
