Trip #367 Hall Street, Marshall Shadeland, Pittsburgh took place on November 2, 2019, and was published on November 22, 2019.
Wherever you are, take a moment and say to yourself, “I am a wise and intelligent person capable of making sound decisions that produce long-term benefits for myself and those around me.” After you’ve said this, how do you feel? Maybe a bit more grounded or confident that you’re an unstoppable force of awesomeness? Whether you’re at work or home or stuck in traffic, you can always generate a positive mental attitude to carry you forward. And the best thing about it? PMA is 100% free of charge and comes with an unlimited supply. You got this. Go do it.
Field Notes: These stairs run along Wardwell Street from Hall Street. The road is a bit chewed up but the stairs are still ok, even if they’re missing railings in spots.
Want to visit these stairs? You can locate them on the Pittsburgh City Steps Plan website!
See the Risograph print of this photo and story in the Mis.Steps Shop.
Be a good neighbor! Have you visited these stairs and found them in poor condition or that illegal dumping (large items like tires, old furniture, and construction debris) and trash were abundant in the area? There are two things you can do to take action and make our city steps cleaner and safer for everyone! First, grab a photo if you can, and submit a report to Pittsburgh 311. All problems, both broken stairs, and railings, as well as trash and dumping, should be reported to the city. You can easily do this online or by calling. If the location has an abundance of illegal dumping and trash, also contact Allegheny Cleanways, letting them know the location and the nature of the garbage. Thank you!!
