Trip #463 Elbon Way, Elliott, Pittsburgh took place on June 28, 2020, and was published on July 15, 2020.
When we join together for a common cause, the collective energy we generate is very powerful and can help to heal our planet, our country, our city, our friends and neighbors, and ourselves. Today, as we look around, we may not see anything close to resembling paradise, but it is here, just waiting to be uncovered and activated by our busy hands and caring hearts.
Field Notes: Elbon Way is a pretty long flight that intersects a few cross-streets. There are a few parts where it’s a little wonky, but otherwise, it’s perfectly fine. I like this section with the two mini-flights coming together from opposite sides. I haven’t seen this style before!

Want to visit these stairs? You can locate them on the Pittsburgh City Steps Plan website!
Be a good neighbor! Have you visited these stairs and found them in poor condition or that illegal dumping (large items like tires, old furniture, and construction debris) and trash were abundant in the area? There are two things you can do to take action and make our city steps cleaner and safer for everyone! First, grab a photo if you can, and submit a report to Pittsburgh 311. All problems, both broken stairs, and railings, as well as trash and dumping, should be reported to the city. You can easily do this online or by calling.
