Trip #500 Well Street, Duquesne Heights, Pittsburgh took place on September 24, 2020, and was published on October 12, 2020.
It can be helpful to look at life as a series of steps. With each year, we develop and strengthen our abilities and knowledge. Take a quick inventory of what you know NOW versus a year or five or ten ago. Our past efforts applied over time brought us to where we are today. But chances are, you still have plenty of dreams and aspirations for the future – and that means you have to keep learning, growing, and trying new ideas. Think about what you’d like to know or be doing a year or five or ten from now. Think about what you need to develop and strengthen to make that happen. Then get ready to take that next step.
Field Notes: This was a lovely flight of city steps – only marred by the dog in the backyard at the bottom who would not stop barking! Urgh.

Want to visit these stairs? You can locate them on the Pittsburgh City Steps Plan website!
Be a good neighbor! Have you visited these stairs and found them in poor condition or that illegal dumping (large items like tires, old furniture, and construction debris) and trash were abundant in the area? There are two things you can do to take action and make our city steps cleaner and safer for everyone! First, grab a photo if you can, and submit a report to Pittsburgh 311. All problems, both broken stairs, and railings, as well as trash and dumping, should be reported to the city. You can easily do this online or by calling.
