Weber Way Arlington Trip 564

March 22, 2021Laura ZurowskiFiled Under: Arlington

Trip #564 Weber Way, Arlington, Pittsburgh took place on March 14, 2021, and was published on March 22, 2021.

Chances are, you know someone you’d consider to be “an amazing storyteller.” They’re the person you always enjoy talking to at work, they keep the party lively (even if it’s on zoom), and they make you laugh or think, and sometimes both. You might even be THAT person! And if so, congratulations, and thank you for sharing your special gift. But even if you consider yourself more of a listener than a teller, stories are welded into your DNA. They’re a part of who you are and how you interpret and share the world. Not everyone is blessed with being a raconteur, but we all have stories to share. Stories flow from instruments and sounds, the blending of colors and aromas, movements and gestures, and from the labors performed by our hands. Everywhere you look, there’s an amazing story that wants to be told.

Field Notes: Here’s an example of a “cold” Polaroid! When I was around the corner visiting #563, it was sunny and felt warm – but on this shady, exposed flight, I could feel the wind and it was freezing!! That’s March in Pittsburgh for you…

Love city steps? Get yourself the latest issue of Mis.Steps: Our Missed Connections with Pittsburgh’s City Steps! Each copy is unique and features 10 randomly selected “trading cards” of Pittsburgh’s 739 public stairways. Visit the Mis.Steps online store to see all issues and place your order.

Want to visit these stairs? You can locate them on the Pittsburgh City Steps Plan website!

Be a good neighbor! Have you visited these stairs and found them in poor condition or that illegal dumping (large items like tires, old furniture, and construction debris) and trash were abundant in the area? There are two things you can do to take action and make our city steps cleaner and safer for everyone! First, grab a photo if you can, and submit a report to Pittsburgh 311. All problems, both broken stairs, and railings, as well as trash and dumping, should be reported to the city. You can easily do this online or by calling.
