It’s been a busy two weeks since City Steps of Pittsburgh: A History & Guide was released! We’re pleased to report that every local bookstore we’ve visited (indie and chain) had copies in stock or available for order. We’ve also received word that retail stores, museum gift shops, and local cafes (shout out to Garden Cafe in Spring Garden!) are also displaying the book. Thank you!
If you haven’t purchased a copy yet, there are a few upcoming events where you can purchase signed copies directly from us.
Sunday, August 4, at 12 noon: Venture Outdoors Q&A with Laura, Charles, and Matt at Ineffable Cà Phê, 3920 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh (Bloomfield/Lawrenceville). The cost is $30 and includes a signed book and a selection of drinks and food! Purchase tickets at Venture Outdoors. As an FYI, I’ll be guiding city steps walking tour through Venture Outdoors every month for the rest of the year. Get tickets for Hazelwood, Spring Garden-Spring Hill, Duquesne Heights, and South Side Slopes on the Venture Outdoors website.
Wednesday, August 7 at 7 pm: Whitehall Public Library. Step right up! Join the library for an “elevated” talk with local authors Laura Zurowski and Charles Succop about their brand-new book, City Steps of Pittsburgh: A History and Guide! There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is appreciated! The library has copies of the book for members to check out, and we will also have books for sale if you’d like a copy to own.
Wednesday, August 21 at 6 pm: 3 Rivers Outdoors. Laura, Charles, and Matt will be hanging out on the patio! Stop by to chat about city steps, urban hiking, or other random topics. We’ll have books for sale.
Wednesday, September 11 at 7 pm: Mt. Lebanon Public Library. More details coming soon! The library has copies of the book for members to check out, and we will also have books for sale if you’d like a copy to own.
As always, thanks for your interest and support for Pittsburgh’s city steps. Hope to see you soon!
